Leif
Privacy
Short version: the Leif app keeps everything on your Mac, and we only collect what we need to ship your key.
The Leif app
- Your block list, session history, focus stats and emergency-end count are stored on your Mac, in your user Library folder. They are not sent to us or anyone else.
- There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics and no advertising.
- The app checks our website for new versions of Leif. That request includes the app's version number and your macOS version, nothing about how you use it.
- To block websites, Leif's network filter checks the names of sites your Mac connects to during a session. That check happens on your Mac, and nothing about it is sent to us. Blocked sites can show up in your Mac's own system log for troubleshooting.
The key
The key tells your Mac its name and serial number. It has no storage and can't read anything on your computer.
Orders
Payments are handled by Stripe. We receive your name, email and shipping address to send your key and order updates. We never see your full card number. We don't sell or share your details, and we won't email you about anything other than your order unless you ask us to.
Questions or deletion
Email hello@leifkey.com and we'll answer, or delete your order details once your key has shipped and any refund window has passed.
